Tomohiko Sakao, Nabil Nasr, Yasushi Umeda and Nancy Bocken worked on a comprehensive paper which investigates circular economy implementation in (manufacturing) businesses, different regional perspectives on the circular economy, and insights for actual implementation in companies. They investigate practical cases of circular economy implementation in USA, Japan & Europe. They also provide guiding principles for the circular economy including top-level commitment, planning circular activities, developing the value ecosystem, planning for the full product life cycle, creating value retention processes, and managing the organisational transformations.
