Circular X has a new visiting researcher - Alexa Böckel from Leuphana University
Alexa Böckel is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Sustainability Management at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, a scholarship holder by the German Federal Environmental Foundation and a research assistant at Technical University of Dresden. She researches sustainable entrepreneurship in the circular economy, with a focus on the transformative potential of circular startups. Being trained in sustainability science and business administration and having worked in several startups and transdisciplinary research projects, she understands the challenges coming along with that. At this point, she ethnographically accompanies a circular innovation program for three years, conducts a qualitative study on circular startups and examines incubation programs and their understanding of impact.
She is joining Circular X for her research visit with Prof. Nancy Bocken for the next 3 months starting October 2022. Her visit will have a threefold goal: understanding the broad research perspectives at MSI, broadening and deepening her knowledge on the circular economy and collaborating with Prof. Nancy Bocken on a study on circular startups.
