Circular X PhD Ankita Das has published her latest research with Nancy Bocken on regenerative business strategies as an open access article here.
They reviewed 84 regenerative business cases from 15 sectors to create a first-of-a-kind Regenerative Business Case Database. They conduct in-depth analyses of the cases and highlight the core characteristics like company size, the sectors they operate in, their collaborative networks, how they create and capture value, their ownership structures, and the types of regeneration strategies they employ. They used these insights to develop a novel typology of regenerative business strategies, discovering six archetypal clusters of: nature regeneration, social regeneration, responsible sourcing, human health & well-being focused, employee-level focus.
They hope this database can act as a source for inspiration for business leaders as they experiment towards more forward-thinking business models that foster ecosystem resilience. See the Regenerative Business Case Database here.
